Unfortunately, the Peruvian authorities have decided to close Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu’s Inca and Llaqta trail network has been ordered to close due to the social situation and to maintain the integrity of visitors.
The reason is that the railway to get to this location has been cut for several days, as the line was damaged by protesters.
