Our delicious journey begins with appetite, since the food part on every trip has something of rite. We love tasting local specialties and rating the dishes. Of course, we have different preferences because Christos chooses the most spicy recipes while Marianna can’t do spicy. In few words, on our table you can find everything from hot peppers to light soups.
Pyra bar (ul. Garbary 6/7, 80-827 Gdansk)
If you are a lover of potatoes and crazy with every version of it, Pyra Bar is the restaurant you are looking for. Potatoes with minced meat, cheese potatoes, mushrooms potatoes, potatoes with everything that comes to your mind. The menu is all about it! Tasty dishes at extremely low prices. These restaurants are half-self-services so do not wait for the plumage to come to order. Decide what you want to eat, give your order and they will bring it to your table.
Pierogarnia Mandu (ul. Elżbietańska 4/8, 80-894 Gdańsk)
One of the most typical dishes of Poland is the famous Pierogi. Fried dough sheets that are stuffed with various materials. Delicious cyclades garnished with herbs! The Poles love cabbage and all that has to do with vegetables, so you are likely to see them dominating the stuffing. Prices are affordable and you you will not starve! The restaurant has modern, elegant décor and so the environment becomes very familiar.
Correze (ul. Stara Stocznia 2/7, 80-862 Gdańsk)
It is a restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine and influences from France. It has an excellent menu of fish and beef. The chef of the shop really draws on the dishes and turns them into works of art. Remember to eat the sweet Meringue cake. It just does not exist! Prices are said to be pricked but not so much to make the restaurant as inappropriate. It is worth visiting and spend a little more money to eat in such restaurants.
Chleb I Wino (ul. Stągiewna 17, 80-750 Gdańsk)
Chleb I Wino is very close to the old town and gathers daily except from locals and many tourists. Here you will enjoy great pasta and pizza in great sizes! Of course the menu has a great variety, you choose! You will not have to spend much as the prices are quite friendly. Restaurants that offer you “fair” portions for your money. It’s what we say! I have some money left before I leave the city and I’m looking for the most decent restaurants.
